Ensemble Recital Days
Ensemble Recital Days take place at end of term in which all students and tutors come together in an intense day of music making. The focal part of the day is a recital where the chamber ensembles perform the works they have been rehearsing during the term.
Before the recital students play in mixed instrumental masterclasses. Each class is run by two tutors - a pianist/accompanist and a string player thereby creating a three way dialogue between the two tutors and the student. Students are encouraged to present a work-in-progress to get the most out of this rehearsal-like environment.
Solo Recital Days
Solo Recital Days allow students to perform as soloists in an instrumental recital. The students rehearse their performance with a pianist/accompanist tutor and string playing tutor in a performance-focused masterclass just before the recital.
