Piano

Reconstruct the piano
Spend five intense days living and breathing all things pianistic with a celebrated cast of internationally renowned pianists. Participants will receive 60 minute daily lessons, play in piano ensembles of 3 or 4 pianos, participate in daily masterclasses, musicianship and special classes. One senior and one junior participant will play a movement of a piano concerto with chamber orchestra in lieu of the masterclass (based on audition). Informal evening recitals will offer participants plenty of opportunities to perform.
Festival Pianists
There will only be a limited number of participants accepted, resulting in a ratio of almost one to one with professionals and creating a fantastic opportunity to get up close and learn from some of the leading pianists in the country. Resident pianists Patrick Hemmerlé, Marie-Noëlle Kendall and Bobby Chen will be joined by distinguished guests Sergio De Simone, Anthony Hewitt, Patricia Romero and Aïda Lahlou in offering a rich variety of pianistic insights in an intimate setting. Composer Darren Bloom will round out the experience with his innovative and challenging musicianship classes.
