Regular performance is key to musical development. To this end, the Recital & Masterclass Days offer students a variety of performance opportunities, both as soloists and as chamber musicians. From presenting works in progress at a master class to performing fully polished works in front of a paying audience, students will always have the chance to perform a current work in a situation matching its level of preparation.
The Academy will determine recital programs based on auditions.
Formal Evening Recitals
The formal evening recital is the closing event of each Recital & Masterclass Day. They form part of concert series run by the Stapleford Granary and are open to a paying general public.
Selected students will be invited to perform polished works at these recitals while sharing the stage with Academy staff and guests. They are fantastic opportunities for students to showcase their hard work and talent, and to taste what life as a professional musician is like.
Afternoon Student Recitals
Afternoon recitals take place at then end of the day section of the Recital & Masterclass Days. These recitals allow students to perform works that may not be fully nuanced but prepared enough to be performed in a friendly supportive setting.
